Man charged with possession of child pornography

Police arrested a 41-year-old man in Prince Albert and charged him with possessing, accessing and distributing child pornography on Thursday.

The Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit arrested the accused on Thursday.

The ICE unit has been investigating the possession and distribution of child pornography online since August of this year. Their investigation led them to a Prince Albert residence where they executed a search warrant.

The ICE unit includes members of the Prince Albert Police Service, Saskatoon Police Service, Regina Police Service and the RCMP.

Sheldon Desnome is charged possessing, accessing and distributing child pornography, made his first appearance in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Friday.
