A court-ordered curfew check led to drug charges last Thursday after police smelled burning marijuana coming from the garage behind a residence.

Police were conducting their routine check on a 21-year-old Prince Albert man shortly after midnight when they heard a noise and detected cannabis smoke.

The suspect was arrested and appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court shortly thereafter. He will remain in custody until Friday.

Jermaine Ray Dreaver is charged with possession of a controlled substance and breach of his conditional sentence order.
