Attempted theft in vehicle foiled

A theft in progress from a motor vehicle in the Unit Block of 27th Street East led to one arrest early Sunday morning.

Police responded at 2:27 a.m. after a nearby homeowner was woken by a noise and noticed suspicious activity near their vehicle. Police arrested a 17-year-old male from Edmonton in the complainant’s car.

The suspect is charged with Theft Under $5,000 and released on an appearance notice to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Friday, Sept. 28.
