Car collides with motorcycle, injures rider

On Friday at 6:45 p.m., police and paramedics responded to an accident involving a car and motorcycle at 13th Street and Eighth Avenue West.

The motorcycle driver had been heading eastbound on 13th Street when a westbound car attempted a left turn in front of the motorcycle, causing a collision.

Paramedics transported the motorcycle rider to Victoria Hospital, where he was treated and released for bruising and abrasions to the leg.

The driver of the car has been charged with “Failure to Yield to Approaching Vehicles When Turning Left” under the Traffic Safety Act.
