Youth assaulted and robbed on Central Avenue

On Monday morning at approximately 4:20 a.m., police investigating an unrelated matter came across an 18-year-old male in the 1800 block of Central Avenue who appeared to have been an assaulted.

Parkland Ambulance Paramedics transported the young man to the Victoria Hospital for treatment. He was later transferred to Royal University Hospital for additional care, and currently remains there in stable condition.

Another 18-year-old male has been charged with aggravated assault, robbery with violence and possession of a weapon. He was scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Tuesday.
