About 250 Saskatchewan artists are making their way to the nation's capital to showcase their talent.

A total of 500 artists from Saskatchewan and Manitoba will show their work on a national and international level during the first Prairie Scene Festival.

The artists range from musicians to painters to dancers and actors. Nearly a dozen artists have ties to the Prince Albert area.

Events will be held from April 26 to May 8 in Ottawa.
