Earth Hour to be held Saturday

SaskPower is encouraging residents of Saskatchewan to turn off their lights and unplug non-essential electronic devices for one full hour on Saturday to support Earth Hour 2013.

Earth Hour, which will take place from 8:30-9:30 p.m., is a global initiative to raise awareness about climate change.

Earth Hour was launched in Sydney, Australia in 2007 and is sponsored by the World Wildlife Fund. Anyone who wishes can pledge their personal commitment and learn more by visiting earthhour.org.
