This band consisting of four brothers from 13-19 years of age has been getting a lot of attention for their music, their hard work and positive attitude. This concert is the first in the Spotlight on Local Talent series. The cost of the ticket is $20 for adults and $12.63 for youth.

On Wednesday, Feb. 26, three of Canada’s most accomplished performers take to the stage.

Juno Award-winning pianist and composer Joe Sealy performs along with his longtime musical partner, bassist extraordinaire, Paul Novotny and one of Canada’s foremost singers of blues, jazz and gospel, Jackie Richardson.

Joe Sealy has enjoyed a highly successful career as a musician, composer, music director and recording artist. He has toured with Blood Sweat and Tears, performed with such artists as Joe Williams, Milt Jackson and Veronica Tennant and has presented his Juno Award-winning Africville Suite across Canada, the United States, and Europe. 

Jackie Richardson is known internationally for her performances on the concert stage, nightclubs, stage, screen and in the recording studio. Her musical career has been enriched by her many live performances including performances with many great musicians including Celine Dion, Maureen Forrester, Anne Murray, Oliver Jones, Martha Reeves, Mavis Staples, and many others. 

Paul Novotny has accompanied many artists including Carol Welsman, Holly Cole, Molly Johnson and Jackie Richardson and is one of Canada’s foremost record producers.

He is a composer of note. He wrote orchestral theme for The National in 2001 and the original theme for George Stoumboulopoulos’s The Hour.  Paul has also written and produced music for feature films and many national radio and TV commercials.

Paul Novotny and Joe Sealy have been long time musical partners and have released five CDs as a duo. The trio will perform a variety of material from their collective songbooks and will provide an exceptional evening of entertainment.
