The Winter/Spring 2014 Entertainment Season opens on Feb. 14 with Diamond Rio which has had one of the most successful careers in country music. Diamond Rio won a coveted Grammy Award for their album The Reason.

The band has sold more than 10 million albums and has had three platinum and five gold records.  Diamond Rio is a four-time winner of the Country Music Association’s vocal group of the year award.

They have also had 13 Grammy award nominations.  Diamond Rio holds the distinction of being the first group in the history of country music to have a debut single reach No. 1.

They achieved that in 1991 with their hit Meet in the Middle.  The band will sing many of their hit songs including some of their early releases. Please note: the Sweetheart Dinner with caterer Randy Whitter from My Place Restaurant and Lounge scheduled for 6 p.m. (pre-show) in the E. A. Rawlinson Centre is sold out.
