Ayami Greenwood, a member of the Writing For Your Life, reads one of her poems as the group marked Let’s Talk Day at the John M. Cuelenaere Public Library on Tuesday evening. Facilitator Lynda Monahan formed the group two years ago to help people deal with emotional issues. Five members of the group -- including Basil Ballantyne, Debbie Cochrane, Dot Settee and Holly Knife -- read their work from With Just One Reach of Hands, the book of poetry and stories that the group released last May. The book is available for $10 by calling the local CMHA office or emailing Monahan at lmonahan@sasktel.net. All proceeds go to the writing group.
