On Nov. 18, the audience at the E. A. Rawlinson Centre will have the opportunity to experience a tribute to the musically historical jam session involving Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley, Carl Perkins and Jerry Lee Lewis.
On Dec 4, 1956, these four artists, by chance, were all at Sun Records in Memphis at the same time. A jam session ensued and Sam Phillips, the owner of Sun Records recorded this very impromptu event. ‘Night to Remember’ pays tribute to the Million Dollar Quartet, and will feature the music of the day; rockabilly, country and of course 1950s rock. There are limited tickets available so purchase soon to avoid disappointment.

After a particularly hectic two weeks, I would to thank my creative resources volunteers. Every month they distribute posters and handbills to around 75 businesses in the city.
They represent the Centre at displays and assist in special events. Recently, the crew has been called upon to be the official cake servers at the 10th Anniversary Celebration and to preside over the display at that event.
They served coffee and dainties at the Season Preview Event and assisted in selling season subscriptions.
This past weekend they promoted the E. A. Rawlinson Centre at Evergreen. Fast on the heels of all that activity, they will soon dedicate a day to decorate the building and make it ready for the Christmas season ahead.
Hats off to a great group of volunteers!
See you in the theatre.
