The last weekend in September will see the E. A. Rawlinson Centre alive with activity as the Prince Albert Multicultural Council presents their annual showcase event, Tapestrama.
This year’s event celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Prince Albert Multicultural Council.
On Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 28 and 29 the doors open at 11am. The event will include Cultural Food & Drinks, Artisan Vendors, Children's Activities and entertainment. On Saturday singers, musicians and bands will be showcased and on Sunday you will be treated to cultural dance (both children and adults).
On Saturday evening a dance party will be held on the stage of the Olive and John Diefenbaker Theatre with the great music of Oral Fuentes Reggae Band. The Dance Party begins at 8 p.m. Sunday’s event will end at 8 p.m. Admission to all weekend activities is free.

On Oct. 27 from 1-4 p.m., the community is invited to a Celebration of the 10th Anniversary of the E. A. Rawlinson Centre and the vibrant arts community in Prince Albert. This gala event is hosted by the Prince Albert Arts Board.
It will include backstage tours including a tour of the Mann Art Gallery, entertainment, activities for the children, displays and a giant anniversary cake for all in attendance.
At 3 p.m. there will be 30-minute concert on stage. At 3:30 p.m., the Prince Albert Arts Board will be making an announcement on a new arts initiative.
The Prince Albert Arts Board, The E. A. Rawlinson Centre and the Mann Art Gallery would like to invite all arts groups to take part in the event. Tables will be available on a first come first served basis for art groups or guilds to promote awareness and/or membership to their group, to promote an event or to sell their creations. All arts disciplines are encouraged to participate.
