On Friday, the P.A. Lions Club presents Cash Back at 7 p.m.
Cash Back performs the music of Johnny Cash ranging from the hits of the ’50s to the ’90s including gospel. They attempt to keep the Cash sound as authentic as possible while adding their own flavour to the mix.
Cash Back draws from a large repertoire of songs either written and/or performed by Cash, including the June Carter Cash duets. They also pay tribute to the music of the Carter Family who greatly influenced the life of Johnny Cash. Cash Back has been touring with this show, which has been met with great enthusiasm, since 2004.
The tribute show that Cash Back delivers demonstrates the group’s genuine love for Johnny Cash’s music and has wide audience appeal.

On March 6, Scotland’s foremost troubadour, Archie Fisher, performs on the Olive and John Diefenbaker Theatre stage.
Archie Fisher is a singer/songwriter, storyteller and guitarist from Scotland. Although in Canada most of us do not know Archie Fisher’s name, in Scotland his notoriety would be similar to famous Canadian singer/songwriters such as Gordon Lightfoot and Stan Rogers.
Archie Fisher is well recognized in Scotland for his contribution to folk music. He was inducted into the Scot’s Traditional Music Hall of Fame and in 2006 was recognized as a Distinguished Member of the British Empire by Queen Elizabeth II for his contribution to the traditional music of the British Empire.
Archie Fisher performs traditional songs that reach back into Celtic myths as well as original music. He has a very warm voice, beautiful guitar styling and has a great sense of humour which he infuses into his performance. Archie has worked with many people in the folk music scene.
He performed as backup musician and arranger for the Tommy Maken and Liam Clancy duo and produced a series of their albums.
He appeared as the lead guitarist on Tom Paxton's 1986 album, The Very Best of Tom Paxton. He has toured with Garnet Rogers. Archie Fisher currently tours throughout Canada, the USA and the UK.
