Two frozen bodies found

Two people were found frozen to death near the train tracks behind the 100 block of 15 Street East on Friday morning just before 9 a.m. They belonged to a woman and a man by the names of Doris Ahenakew, 46 and John Dorion, 62. This patch of snow holds the imprint of a sitting body and was found in the area the bodies were found on Friday afternoon. Only one obvious imprint was visible. Two people were found frozen to death near the train tracks behind the 100 block of 15 Street East on Friday morning just before 9 a.m.

Police responded to the area after someone reported to finding the bodies. They belonged to a woman and a man.

Police have identified the two people as Doris Ahenakew, 46 and John Dorion, 62.

Further details have yet to be released surrounding their deaths.

Foul play is not suspected at this time, according to a police press release by Sgt. Curtis Halcro. However police are awaiting autopsy results and the investigation is still underway.

The Daily Herald will provide more details as they become available.

    How sad this is. There has been some suggestion that we need more beds for the homeless, but that alone will not solve the problem. They could also go in for Addiction Rehab, or help with Mental Problems if they would. I am sure that in shelters they would not be allowed to bring drugs or alcohol in , which is possibly why they don't go there.
