Spruce Home Seniors celebrates the group’s 25th anniversary beginning at noon on April 23 at their clubroom in the Spruce Home Activity Centre. The Salvation Army will host a Seniors Luncheon at the Outpost (900 Central Ave.) from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 27. For $7, people over the age of 50 will receive ham, scalloped potatoes, veggies, dessert and tea or coffee.

The 2014 Teen Youth Group, for youth ages 13 and older or Grade 9 and up, meets once a month. On June 13, they will be at Little Red River Park from 8:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a bonfire and some social time. If it’s raining, the events will move indoors. Prince Albert Street Fair is a free fun family festival for the entire community on June 14 on Central Avenue. The day’s activities include roaming performers, crafts and food vendors, sidewalk sales, historical vignettes, Farmer’s Market, mascots, guided historical walking tours, various open houses of local performing arts and culture centers, emergency displays (Fire, Police and Ambulance), display tables for non-profit and charitable organizations, schools and other groups (i.e.: Red Cross, Literacy Network, Women groups, French groups, Native groups, children and youth groups) plus bouncy castle, face painting and more children’s activities.
