The Volunteer Services Department of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region is in need of caring, compassionate and committed volunteers to fulfill the following service positions:
Emergency Department volunteer navigator
Adult volunteers are needed at Victoria Hospital to provide guidance and navigational assistance to families/visitors of patients in the Emergency Department. This helps speed up the process by freeing medical staff to treat patients. Shifts: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., 12-3 p.m., 3-6 p.m. Monday to Friday, once per week
Meals on Wheels
Adult volunteers are needed in Prince Albert to assist with delivering meals to Home Care clients. Shifts: 11:15 a.m. - 1 p.m., one to three shifts per month.
Lab Services Centre
Patient greeters assist patients and family members arriving for tests at the center in the South Hill Mall in Prince Albert. These volunteers put patients at ease and ensure they are in the proper location to be called for their tests. Shifts: 7:15 – 10:15 a.m. from Monday to Friday, once per week. Relief positions are also available.
Patient navigators – day surgery
Patient navigators improve the experience for surgical patients in Prince Albert by ensuring they are in the right place at the right time. Shifts: 6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from Monday to Friday, once per week. Relief positions are also available.
