This is a precious and uncommon opportunity for many for the regions best artists to show their creations in a professional gallery, to be seen by a wide cross section of viewers. None of the artwork has been seen yet and no one knows which artwork has been displayed in which part of the gallery, or how it has been showcased.

The Juror this year is Marsha Kennedy, who holds both a Bachelors and a Masters in Fine Arts.  As an instructor of painting and drawing she has taught at the University of Regina since 1991. She work has had he work exhibited across Canada in public art galleries for over 30 years.

According to a press release from the Mann Art Gallery, her work is largely focused on the connection between nature and humanity. It often explores the emotional and metaphysical aspects of that connection. Her work often has nuances of a socio-political agenda.

On Saturday Feb. 11, there will be a juror’s talk and walkthrough of the gallery pieces from 10a.m. – 3p.m.

Tickets for the reception on Friday, Feb. 10, are $15 and available at the door. For gallery members, tickets are $10.
