The Prince Albert Highlanders piped and drummed half a dozen songs after the 212th annual Robert Burns’ Supper on Friday night. Jan. 25 is held as a day to celebrate the life and legend of Scotland’s Favourite Son in Scotland and in Caledonian communities the world over.

The Prince Albert Highlanders left the stage after playing for the gathering just before a rather hilarious toast to the Queen was made and before the keynote speaker, Rodney Thomson began his address to the assembly.

Supper was served and it included large portions of haggis, the inescapable dish of the Scots. Michael McLaughlan serves himself a hearty portion, reveling in what he claims is the best haggis he has ever had.
